Good evening,
my name is SWT_Janowich and today, I'll bring you the world of ArmA II
just a little closer.
For me, its been close since Armed Assault: Combat Operations, so see me as your teacher rather than a stranger.

  RUG High Dispersion updated to 1.2 Editing    
Wolfrug has released an updated version of his RUG High Dispersion Addon on the OFPEC Forums.

This addon creates an exact copy of every default hand-held weapon in vanilla Arma 2, except that their"dispersion" config value has been changed. This means the weapon is considerably less accurate, which leads to longer firefights between the AI (and the player, should s/he choose to use a 'HD' weapon).

The inspiration for this comes from the wonderful HD version of all the JAM weapons from old OFP (featured heavily in for instance the Tonal campaign). The soldiers wielding these weapons might represent untrained militias armed with sub-par weaponry.

Updated to 1.2! Changelog:
- Tweaked dispersion ratings a bit more
- Added all vehicle weapons (although some still have no dispersion, e.g. missiles)
- Removed added HD units & factions & groups, replaced with Modules (F7) for Men and Vehicles

  JTD Ambient Civilian Traffic module by TRexian WIP Editing    
TRexian has announced on the BI Forums an upcoming new version of his JTD Ambient Civilian Traffic module and unlashed a preview version: JTD_ACTON_2a -not mirrored on request- you can get here on the BI Forum.

  Boeing 767 alfa release Editing    
Bjorn Bakker has released a Boeing 767 alfa addon on the BI Forums.
A model and texture pack is coming along this unfinished plane addon.

Here is the Boeing 767
Its a port from a opf model from Gachopin who give me permission to bring it to Arma 2.
Because of some rl issues i cant complete the addon, because many people like the idea of a Boeing 767 in arma 2 and because of the many hours people spent on working on the plane.
I want to release it unfinished
Right know the model is in the following state
Model - 70 %
Texture - 90 %
Scripting - 50 %

  GCam [1.12] - Free Camera Script Editing    
Gigan has send us his GCam [1.12] - Free Camera Script. GCam offers the camera which can be freely operated to a player. It can be used for observation of a battle, or action pursuit of units. Since the unit to pursue is changed always, it can overlook the whole area globally.

F2 is the successor to the popular BAS f mission development framework for ArmA , discussed in this BI Forums thread or on the OFPEC Forums.

  African foliage for ArmA II by BergHoff updated Editing    
BergHoff has released an updated African foliage v1.10 addon on the BI Forums.

This addon contains 34 usable models that can be used too create a vast desert or savanna. In the future there might be some additions to create a jungle but first I will improve some current models first.

The addon was previously released for ArmA in a un-finished state but now I have ported it over to ArmA II and completed all models that were in prior releases.

I want to thank Icebreakr for testing the foliage on his nice Isla Duala.

  Animation Viewer (v 1.2) Editing    
Clayman updated his Animation Viewer (v 1.2) and released the newest version on the BI-Forums.


Highlights:

* The Viewer can now be added to any mission and used from there.
* You can save as many animations to a second listbox, and then copy all of them to clipboard.
* Animal animations now included.

  ppEffects viewer (v 1.0) Editing    
Przemek_kondor released his ppEffects viewer (v 1.0) on the BI-Forums. A small mission which can help you find nice (or ugly) filters you can use in your mission, FLIR scripts and for other purposes.

Mission covers Arma2 filters as follow:

* RadialBlur (needs postprocesses enabled)
* ChromaticAberration
* WetDistortion
* ColorCorrections
* Dynamic Blur
* FilmGrain
* ColorInversion

  Road Painter tool by Homer Johnston video Editing    
Homer Johnston has released a YouTube video showing his Road Painter tool at work on the BI Forums.

-This tool is intended to aid the process of road creation in Visitor. It allows you to easily "paint" long sections of road in between key-parts from within the ArmA mission editor. You can then generate a text file to import into a Visitor road-network.
-The tool is not intended to handle key-parts. Terminators, T's and Crossroads must be placed using Visitor.

  [R3F] Artillery and Logistic v 1.3 by Madbull Editing    
Madbull from the R3F team has informed us about the release of an updated [R3F] Artillery and Logistic v 1.3 script on the R3F Forums.

v1.3
- Improved : Lightweightness of the logistics (objects auto-detection)
- Improved : Fire solution search algorithm (max duration decreased and script warning removed)
- Fixed : Something seemed to make the ArmA 2 game engine unstable on specific computer configurations
- Only the players in the same faction are now displayed in the arty computer interface
- Help in the arty computer interface slightly improved

  UPSMON 5.0.4 by Monsada released Editing    
Monsada has informed us about the release on the BI Forums of an updated UPSMON 5.0.4 script.

In version 5.0.4 of UPSMON has been implemented posibility of set a squad for an ambush with parameter "ambush".
With parameter "nowp" you can avoid upsmon puts waypoints so you can put your own waypoints on it for doing what you want and continues sharing enemies, in video BMP3 is a squad with "nowp" parameter.

  Tomb Addon by Icewindo Editing    
Icewindo has released his Tomb Addon v 0.5 on the BI Forums, a port from the previous ArmA release.

A tileset for creating a catacomb and egyptian temple ported from ArmA1 and created by Icewindo

This addon was nearly a direct port of my first addon, so it might fail some quality standards.
If you would like to improve this addon or add other tilesets to it, drop me a PM at the BIS forums and I will send over the MLODs and/or add your textures to the package.


The example mission needs Mapfacts EU upgrade
