Vilas Weapons Pack update by Xeno426 Addon release
Xeno426 has released an updated Vilas Weapons Pack v1.1 on the BI Forums.

The purpose of this mod is to update Vilas' West Weapons Pack and Russian Weapons Pack to Operation Arrowhead standard.
Among the things updated are the inclusion of OA's new zeroing system for weapons that should have them (to the best of my knowledge), new icons for all weapons that Vilas didn't already provide icons for, a few new sounds for several weapons (APS, APB, M60, M60E3, RPG-22, RPG-26, SKS, G3, AS Val, FN MAG), improved and cleaned up the text from the mod and made it easy to add additional language support, and finally the disposable launchers (RPG-22, RPG-26, RPO-A) make use of Inko's Disposable Launchers system.
The names of a few vanilla BIS weapons were changed to help to both distinguish them from their Vilas counterparts and to give them more accurate names.

1.1
Added changes to Vilas' ammo boxes
Edited Carl Gustav; now has two different rounds
Improved strings table
Fixed compatibility with ANZIN's weapons mod
Fixed issues with some weapons being set to private
Fixed texture issue with Galil ARM

World Tools 1.6 by shezan74 Editing
shezan74 has released an updated World Tools 1.6 addon on the BI Forums.

Version 1.6

- Added: SQM / SQF-BIEDI script files to V3 feature: World tools now loads your .sqm and your .biedi files and export them into Visitor 3 importable format. [Featured requested and tested by Bad Benson]

Biedi are the files created by 3D Editor in ArmA2 and ArmA2 OA (ALT-E from the main screen). Biedi are the companion files of SQF mission file format.
Program will search into your P:\ disk (if you're a Visitor3 user) trying to match the editor objects with the objects into your ca\ and other object folders.

- Added: Now in forest generator and object remapping the user can remap/place objects that aren't defined in object list, by indicating the path of the object (eg. ca\buildings\tent).

- Added: Forest generator now inform user about the percentage of each mask color into the map. Now you know what you could easily ignore.

- New feature: Forest Generator is now able to SIMULATE forest generation results for easy tuning of final number of objects.

- Bug: Object selection form doesn't remind last position after third open

- Changed: Check for updates will open default browser.

Troop Transport in PlannedAssault generated missions Videos
William from PlannedAssault has informed us about the release of a YouTube video showing troop transport improvements for the missions generated by his tool.

PlannedAssault is a web based mission generator for single player large scale combined arms battles. It generates missions complete with objectives, form up areas and defensive positions, and lanes of attack for the player's force, friendly AI and opponent AI.

PlannedAssault's recent update improves ground troop transport by introducing multiple pickups and generating all scripting necessary to use roof top seats (RHS's cargo system). In the video shows these improvements with a section of two BTR-70s picking up and transporting four squads (28 men) to the form up area, after which an attack is launched. Enjoy!

The mission shown in the video is available for download here.

The Unsung Mod Handbook released ! Addon release

Polish GI from the The Unsung War Mod has informed us about the release of the Unsung Mod Handbook for the upcoming The Unsung Mod release.

Enclosed is a 129-page pdf document outlining our MOD to date. It covers who we are and what we intend on doing. The table of contents organizes the handbook into easy to follow sections.

We provide brief backgrounds of each small arms weapon along with an in game screenshot for our readers. This allows readers to read about specific weapons that saw action during the Vietnam Conflict. Along with the small arms, we also provide background histories for our vehicles and aircraft that are included in the upcoming release.

Other sections in the handbook include: a script section so the community can make better use of our MOD (e.g. infantry shoulder patches, vehicle art, helicopter art etc), background on the island in the MOD, background histories of the units that served in Vietnam along with the various service branches.

Lastly, we have included various appendices in the back. The weapon chart covers all of the weapons included in the MOD and their associated weapon/magazine name for editors. We have an appendix for all vehicles and aircraft included as well. We also took the time to include all of the various groups that are available to the mission makers via the editor.

Please note, this handbook is a work in progress and we will be editing it as we go forward with future releases. This handbook is also subject to alterations in case an error is found by us or by the community.

We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy making this handbook and the MOD for the community.

Kind Regards,

The Unsung Vietnam War MOD

More Thermal Scopes and Zeroing by Xeno426 Addon release
Xeno426 has released updated TGW Thermal Scopes v1.2 and TGW Zeroing v1.2 addons on the BI Forums.

Fixed save game issues.
These two mods add more thermal scopes to the OPFOR side and add Zeroing to more ArmA2 weapons that should have it.

The Thermal Scopes mod isn't meant to be realistic, as it gives the thermal imaging to FN FAL with the PVS-4 scope and to the NSPU version of the SVD. It's purpose is simply to add thermal sights to more OPFOR weapons than just the AK-74 GOSHAWK.
This mod adds the Thermal scope to the FN FAL AN/PVS4, SVD NSPU, and rangefinder binoculars.

The Zeroing mod, however, is supposed to be a bit more realistic. Comments as to what weapons should really have a scope adjustment feature are welcome.
This mod adds the ability to zero in sights has been added to the following weapons: SVD (and variants), KSVK, VSS, XM8 weapon family, DMR, Mk12 SPR, AKS-74 PSO, AK-107 PSO, AK-107 GL PSO, M249 TWS, PKP, all Mk.16 variants without ACOG/RCO sights, all Mk.17 variants without ACOG/RCO sights, MP5, MP5SD, M4A1, M16A2, M16A2 GL, M16A4, M16A4 GL, M240, M249, M249 Des, FN FAL (and AV/PVS-4), Lee Enfield No.4, G36C (and variants), PP-19 Bizon (and SD), AK-74, AK-74 GL, AKS-74, AKS-74U, AKS-74 NSPU, AKS-74 GOSHAWK, RPK-74.
Weapons with RCO sights are now zeroed to 150 meters.
Weapons with ACOG sights are zeroed to 100 meters.

The binoculars no longer force you to use their "scope" when you select them. To look through the binoculars, tap right-click (the default key for bringing up iron sights).

Server keys are included in the files.

UNA Targets - Realistict target board script [CO] Addon release
Walker001 has released an UNA Targets script on the BI Forums.

Description:
This script simulates a realistic 0 to 10 score target board. The target records your hits and calculates your score.

Features:

- Working 0 to 10 score target board. For example if you hit a 9 this score will be saved to the target board. The scores can be checked after your shooting session.
- No direct feedback. Like in real life you wont get an instant hint message about your score. After your shooting session you have to walk close to the target board itself in order to check your score. Alternatively a player close to the target can check the score for you.
- Works with all rifles and pistols.
- MP compatibility, with this script you will be able to compete at the target range with your friends online.
- This is a script not an addon. At the moment is only vanilla Arma 2 or OA required. (Thx to Bier AIG Razor)
- Easy installation and setup, launch the script with a single command
- Example mission included.
