  Devastation Beta v0.7 released Mission release    

Dr_Eyeball has released an updated Devastation Beta v0.7 mission pack on the BI Forums.

Introduction:
I'm constantly reading about how players want more complex Team vs Team missions and are even asking for the Project Reality mod concept and there are not enough people doing full featured TvT missions which are suitable for public servers, so this game mode (AAS and sub-components combined) has been designed and created to incorporate the fundamental concepts of Project Reality along with many improvements and extra features to create a unique game mode experience for Arma 2.

Game mode description:
The Devastation/AAS v2 is a competitive team versus team MP game mode suitable for public servers. It uses the basis of Sector Control with the added extensions of grouped zones, linked sectors and sequenced capture order to provide a battlefront concept which still works well for fewer players (20-50). It does not work well for too few players (eg: 6v6).

* Jan 24 - Current version is beta 0.7 - do not play older versions since performance has significantly changed, bugs fixed and made compatible with Arma 2 patch 1.03.
* Game mode engine is at beta development stage to finalise all intended functionality.
* Next version will be either v0.8 or v2.0.
* Allow more time for this opening post to be updated properly once the manual is updated.

  G3 Project by Christian.1987 Addon release    
Christian.1987 has released the Beta Version (0.5) of his G3 Projekt on the BI Forums.

Ok now, i release now a BETA Version of the G3 Project.
This BETA version is only to Testing. (Feeling, Bugs, Suggestions.) for yours.

  PKW Fokker VII and PKW_WWI Pilots by Yac Addon release    
Yac has released his PKW Fokker VII WW1 plane addon on the BI Forums.

I present my two new addons.
Pilots from WWI, the airmen are from Entanta countries (west side) and from the Central States (East Side).

And Fokker VII of the German Imperial Army in the painting of the Jasta 15. Detailed information is contained in the readme files. Requires PKW_WWI Pilots.

  [R3F] Artillery and Logistic scripts by madbull Addon release    
Madbull from the [R3F] Team has released his [R3F] Artillery and Logistic: Manual artillery and advanced logistic (mission script) on the BI Forums.

The [R3F] Artillery and Logistic is a mission-script system which revolutionizes the way to play about the logistic and artillery. This system permits to play in a realistic manner and fills a lack in ArmA 2.

The logistic part of the system permits to transport and to position any equipment type (ammo, static weapon, MASH, sandbag, ...) by different methods (lift, tow, load in cargo).

The artillery part of the system offers the possibility to the leader of an artillery battery to compute fire solutions (gun orientation, ...) according to the forward observer indications. Then the leader of an artillery battery can transmit the fire orders to the gunners. The gunners orient their guns (or mortars) according to the angles of the fire order.

The two systems (artillery and logistic) are released together because they are complementary and it requires only one installation. However it is possible to disable the artillery features and keep only the logistic ones.

  VTS 3.5 is out ! Mission release    
Gonza has informed us about the release of an updated version - v.3.5 - of his Virtual Training Space mission editor on the BI Forums. ACE2 needed !

VTS allow the Game master to create multiplayer cooperative missions in real time (players connected). with a lot of short cuts to make it quickly
You don't need to know anything in scripting or mission editing
it's really easy to use and intuitive, you can spawn everything on the map just in 2 clicks
You can play in MP or SP (very good to test new islands, vehicles or to use Arma in Role play with friends)

New features
- Mission Start on Carrier
- All Arma and ACE units available (thanks to Sekra)
- Possibility to take control of all units (just by a click on map) (like in matrix !!)
- Possibility to join any units between them (just by 2 clicks on map (Source and target))
- Game master can delete any units (just by a click on map (50 M or 500 M radius))
- Game master can start music from a list
- Game master can change Game colours (stalker ambiance)
- reassign order to any unit on map
- order units or groups to get in a vehicle (just in 2 click)
- Game Master can launch Ace nuke anywhere
- Camera 3d improvements
- @Ace lifter, fast rope...

  Community Base Addon: v0.3.0 released Editing    

Sickboy has released a Community Base Addon v0.3.0 updated version on the BI Forums.

Key Changes

* ADDED: Generic versioning system, with custom events

  The FEW by CSJ Addon release    



CSJ has released "the FEW" his WW2 plane addon on the BI Forums.

Just a little fun mod that I will slowly add to and update.
Basically WWII planes - dogfighting etc
Still work in progress, aren't they all.

  1970s Generic African Units by Dimitri_Harkov updated Addon release    
Dimitri_Harkov has released an updated - 1.2 - version of his 1970s Generic African Units addon on the BI Forums.

New in 1.2:
-Portugal - a new faction has been added.
-thanks to ObmaR, UNITA and Portugal now have three versions of the SA 330 Puma helicopter each.
-all sides now have proper supply/reammo/repair/refuel trucks for warfare
-MPLA: jet pilot, BTR-60 APC, PT-76 amphibious light recon tank added
-some weapon loadouts have been changed (again!).

  Nome Islands and Beton Addons updated Addon release    
Beton has released an updated - 1.1- version of his Winter Nome Island and an updated version -v1.32- of his Beton Addons on the BI Forums and added a Summer version of Nome Island.

This island was mostly for testing. I decided to make it a little nicer and release it.
Inspired by the area around Nome in Alaska. A fictional island not far from the coast. Its a very small map (about 4x4 kilometres) with an island.
You can find two small settlements and a lighthouse connected by a small road. The island is mostly covered with snow and has many rocky areas. There is not much but mostly custom vegetation but the bumpy ground and the rocks may give good cover for infantry.

- terraingrid changed for more performance
- added and moved some plants, rocks and some objects for testing
- minor changes to satmap and cluttersettings

Betons Addons:

These addons contain all the custom made objects like plants, buildings etc. which are needed for my maps. There will be updates every now and then. The updates wil be available as full download and as cumulative patch for the ones who already have the previous version. Ill try to keep the addons downwards compatible so you only need the latest version.
Atm the objects are only suitable for mapmakers as the don´t appear in the editor yet.

  US Army Rangers retextured units Addon release    
Massi informed us that he released a retexture version v1.0 of the 75th Ranger regiment units (US Army Rangers ) and comes in 4 different camouflages.

This Addon is a retexture of USMC Force Recon assault units, in order to represent the US Army Ranger working in different environment.
The Units will be found in the editor under BLUFOR >> US Army Rangers,(same for the groups), sorted by the different camouflage of the uniforms they're wearing

- 75th Ranger(ACU): wearing ACU uniform.
- 75th Ranger(Multicam): wearing multicam uniform.
- 75th Ranger(Woodland): wearing woodland BDU uniform.
- 75th Ranger(Desert): wearing 3 colors desert DCU uniform.

Installation.

Put the addons in the "mod folder" of your preference, you will find the units in the editor under:
Bluefor - US Army Rangers (sorted by different camos)

you'll find groups also under:
Bluefor - US Army Rangers (same way).
