But i think is farely interestant to see the fine differences. But further i have to mention that for me the graphics, so optical qualities are not less important than other things as AI, gameplay,.... A game with perfect gameplay and AI with bad graphics would not be able to take my interest.

I kodiak agree more kodiak.... Graphics are just eye candy to me....The way a game is played is the real reason for me even to think about buying it. There isn't much known as of yet when it comes to OFP2 I am fairly confident that it will be a very good game (as far a realism is concerned) to play. We will just have to wait and see. I won't buy either ArmA2 or OFP2 till I hear what my friends think first....lol

That MI-24 Hind screenshot doesn't tell us much. There is no Hind in ArmA (only an add-on one) It would have been better if they showed an MI-8 from Arma 2 to compare! But I also think we don't need better grahics, we need better AI. Best regards, Kodiak.

Tankcommander, we dont want better graphics, we want more realism (such as firing out of vehicles), if you want graphics then CoD4 and OFP2 definetly have that covered (how realistic OFP2 will be is unknown atm), we're after whats under the hood as sharez stated :)

The HMMWV of the ArmA2 haves the exhaust in the wrong side, also seems that vehicles MG gunners anims will at least as much as in the ArmA; look now at the magazines pouches... curved, curved as they aren't in the RL curved as they're in the ArmA. We still gonna have a hard time a dissapoint with the ArmA2, im sure of it; certainly looks much better, but it seems to have many wrong or uncovered sides. I think that BIS will robb us again as they did with the ArmA, but we'll have to wait and see and then pay for our sins.

Don't know what you are all on about. So now you hold your favouritism for Arma1 just like when you did for ofp? Just look at the improved graphical realism of Arma2. Everything is better and done with a proper art direction unlike that of Arma1. Arma2 has more convincing landscapes and towns where the first was an un-organised clutter of old and new. Chances are that if you like Arma1, the second will not disappoint.

ArmA2 may not look too much better than ArmA to some people, however it still looks good enough to be a good game - considering the game and its features itself and updated or new. That is what I'm really looking forward to in ArmA2.

OFP in my book still and always will be the best game. All I've seen after OFP was Graphically enhanced. versions ArmA is nice but OFP set the standard in my book.

Presumably the ArmA modding brigade will be streets ahead before the release date. I am still smarting over the awful official campaign and missions with ArmA. Wished I could be reassured that the under the bonnet improvements will keep up with with the eye candy.

the story also would have to be improved. this is always the same since OFP.
ofp can't be compared to arma (1-2), it doesn't use the same technology.
i'm not impressed by Arma2, for the moment, I still wait OFP2
