Maionazee hat uns darüber informiert, dass eine neue ArmA2 Preview auf Gamestar.de veröffentlicht worden ist. Dieses Video, dass mit einer Beta-Version des Spiels gemacht wurde, zeigt das Kontext-empfindliche Kommando-System und die KI (die nach Meinung der Gamestar-Redakteure aber noch einiger Verbesserung bedarf). ArmA 2 wird in Deutschland vorraussichtlich am 29. Mai 2009 veröffentlicht.
Ein weiteres Preview zu ArmA2 wurde nun auch auf Gamestar.de veröffentlicht. Christian Schneider erklärt anhand einer Preview-Version von Arma 2, wie weit die Militär-Simulation fortgeschritten ist. Das Vorschau-Video zeigt eine Beispielmission, erklärt das Kontext-sensitive Befehlssystem und zeigt auf, was an der KI noch getan werden muss. Arma 2 soll am 29. Mai 2009 erscheinen.

The screenshots he first released with the preview were taken with low quality and after his readers asked he decided to make new better quality pictures. At the same time he told us he could not translate his preview into English as that was to difficult for him but instead he wanted to do something else of which we will report later.

Tiscali Games präsentierte eine kurze Vorschau auf das morgen erscheinende ArmA2 Preview. Dank an spoock, der uns über die BI-Foren darauf aufmerksam machte. Ob man dem Preview von Tiscali Glauben schenken darf steht jedoch hinter einem Fragezeichen.

Two little details to this: 1) games tiscali broke embargo date given to all media world wide, which is tomorrow, why they did it, I really don't know. 2) All screenshot posted there made by them have wrong aspect ratio (looks like captured in 16/10 but posted as 4/3) which creates even worse impression.
The Armory The interactive encyclopedia and sandbox mode for all content in the game is back in ARMA 2.
Some of you may have already played around in the Armory in ARMA 1, which was properly introduced in the North American release and consecutive patches for all territories. For those who are not familiar with the concept: the Armory allows you to select any vehicle, weapon and creature in the game and do a number of cool things with those items.
Not feeling very active, but want to see the item in action? Check out a dynamic Scene starring the item you selected. Want to inspect an item up close? Fire up the Viewer and rotate, pan and zoom to your heart’s content. In the end though, there’s nothing more fun than to just play around with the item and it goes without saying that this is possible too. Select an item and Try it out for yourself.

Dieses Video enthält sowohl bekanntes Material, als auch einen tschechischen Kommentar von Jan Pražák, dem PR Manager von Bohemia Interactive. Neben dem ausführlichen Interview sind auch zahlreiche, interessante Spielsequenzen entahlten, welche trotz mangelnder Tschechischkenntnisse aussagekräftig genug sind.

ArmA 2 wird einige kleine militärisch nutzbare Boote bieten, und natürlich auch zivile Fischerboote.
Fischerboot
Ein einfacher Trawler für den Fischfang. Laut der Internationalen Nahrungs- und Agrokulturbehörde gibt es mehr als vier Millionen Fischerboote in der ganzen Welt. Dies ist eines davon.
PBX
Das PBX ist ein kampferprobtes Schlauchboot, das dem CRRC sehr ähnelt. Es kann z.B. für Infiltrationen genutzt werden.
RHIB (Mk19)
Das Naval Special Warfare Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) ist eine unverwüstliche Allwetterwassereinheit mit großem Auftrieb. Es kann acht Soldaten neben drei Besatzungsmitgliedern transportieren und ist in einer C-130 Hercules voll luftverlastbar. Dieses RHIB ist mit einem MK19 40mm Granatwerfer bewaffnet.
Kleines Boot
Viele Chernarussen besitzen kleine Boote, mit denen sie zum Angeln raus aufs Meer fahren. Untiefen und tückische Kliffe machen diese kleinen Boote zum idealen Fortbewegungsmittel entlang der chernarussischen Küste.
Heute wurde der ArmA2 Fuhrpark mit einigen Zivilfahrzeugen erweitert. Zu finden ist das Update auf ArmA2.com.
Zivilfahrzeuge
Zivilisten in Chernarus bevorzugen die "unkaputtbaren" Vehikel aus Ostblockproduktion mit denen sie sich auskennen. Leider sind die meisten Autos in Chernarus in keinem guten Zustand, denn auch die Straßen sind in keinem guten Zustand.
Stadtautos
Du musst Holz holen, Deine Frau nach Chernogorsk zum Einkaufen oder ein paar Flaschen Wodka durch die Checkpoints schmuggeln? Nimm den Bus oder eines dieser Autos. Wenn du aber die gelb-weißen Polizeiautos im Rückspiegel siehst, solltest Du das Gaspedal durchtreten!
Lastkraftwagen Egal was transportiert werden muss - LKWs können alles von A nach B bringen. Egal ob Kies, Limonade, Aufständische oder Waffen.
Andere Wenn Ihr schnell von A nach B kommen wollt, nehmt ein Mountainbike! Aber wenn Ihr müde seid, beim Abhauen ach-so-fest in die Pedale treten zu müssen, nehmt Ihr besser das Motorrad!

There are many types of vehicles designed for a multitude of roles. Although the primary role of these vehicles is transportation, many APCs or cars with mounted weapons provide the player with a considerable amount of firepower.
BRDM-2
The BRDM-2 is an armored, four-wheel-drive, amphibious reconnaissance vehicle. Its crew consists of a driver, co-driver, commander and gunner. The armament consists of a 14.5mm KPV heavy machine gun with a 7.62mm machine gun as a secondary weapon. Its armor is intended to protect the crew against small-arms fire and artillery shrapnel.
BTR-90
The BTR-90 is an 8×8 wheeled infantry fighting vehicle developed in Russia. It is armed with 30 mm 2A42 auto cannon, 7.62mm PKT machine gun, AT-5 Spandrel ATGM and AGS-17 30mm grenade launcher. The BTR-90 is capable of achieving a maximum speed of 100 km/h and has cross-country driving capability. It has an inner capacity of 12 m3 and can carry a load up to 7000 kg.
Vodnik (HMG)
GAZ-3937 "Vodnik" is a Russian high-mobility multipurpose amphibious vehicle. It can carry up to 10 people and drive at speeds up to 112 km/h (or 5 km when floating). This is equipped with a heavy machine gun.
BM-21 Grad
The BM-21 Grad (in English: Hail) is a truck-based 122 mm multiple-launch rocket system made in Russia. It is used in over 50 countries and it is the most widely used rocket artillery system worldwide. It is equipped with 40 launch tubes, firing 2.87 m rockets. The effective range is about 30 km.
HMMWV (M240)
The High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) has replaced the M151 ‘Willys’ jeep in US Army service. The HMMWV was designed to fill myriad roles, including that of light tactical commander's vehicle, special purpose shelter carrier, and mobile weapons platform. The HMMWV is equipped with a high performance diesel engine and four wheel drive, making it capable of traversing very difficult terrain. This one is armed with an M240 7.62 mm machine gun.
Kamaz (Repair)
The Kamaz is a Russian-made 6x6 cargo truck developed in 1973 and still manufactured today. These trucks are very reliable, with powerful V8 engines. This one is used to repair, service and maintain all other motor vehicles.
LAV-25
The LAV-25 is an 8x8 APC (Armored Personal Carrier) used by the US Marine Corps. It is capable of carrying 9 men and is equipped with an M242 Bushmaster 25 mm chain gun and two M240 7.62 mm machine guns.
MTVR
The MTVR (Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement) is a 6x6 all-terrain vehicle Used by the US Marine Corps and US NAVY. It is capable of transporting up to 7 tons of cargo in most terrain and up to 15 tons on good roads.
Offroad (DShKM)
Off-road cars are ideal for driving on unpaved roads or roadless terrain. This one is fitted with a 12.7mm DShKM heavy machine gun and used by ChDKZ forces.
UAZ
The UAZ-469 is a very reliable and affordable offroad vehicle widely used in Soviet and post-Soviet countries. The main advantages of this vehicle are simple: It is able to drive in virtually any terrain and it is extremely easy to fix.
Ural (ZU-23)
The Ural 375 is a Russian-made military 6x6 cargo truck capable of carrying 11+1 soldiers, or variety of cargo weighing up to 5 tons. This one is equipped with ZU-23, anti air defence cannon.
