William has informed us about a new tutorial video release, illustrating the creation of large air assaults in single player missions generated with PlannedAssault.
PlannedAssault features specific to air assaults:
- terrain masking ingress and egress routes for transport helicopters, reducing their exposure - landings, even under fire, with board gunners returning fire, without using navigation lights or landing lights - large scale landings: multiple squads per heli, multiple helicopters landing simultaneously, multiple landing zones for multiple helicopter flights - coordinated attack after landing - automatic selection of landing zones, enabling the player to defend against AI air assaults without him having to pick the LZs - integration of close air support with the landings - instructions for all AI groups in the mission, enabling the player to pick any role he likes
