  Sbrodj Benny's BE Warefare 2.048 released Mission release

Gutm@sher has released an updated 2.048 version of his Sbrodj port of Benny's BE Warefare on the BI Forums.

I ve updated the Sbrodj port to 2.048 and made additional changes. Am making sure there are no errors before posting a d/l link but it is currently available via Urban Resistance 32 man server (Sbrodj Warfare BEv2048) and U.K. 16 man server. Ported mission changes overview:

- removed castle sbrodj as capture point and 2 of the aa guns (all aa has not been removed). the closeness of the sbrodj capture points (north, south and castle) interfered with proper camp respawn in some cases.
- added the following capture points (33 total) - camps echo and whiskey (small military bases in foot hills), added 2 defense capture points which serve as outer defenses at each of the 2 main airports. this serves to 1. make them tougher to capture (especially with occupation) and 2. further concentrates power at the corners of the map. the main airports are quite the prize now as they should be.
- all mission placed defense squads that do not have spawn function have been removed. I may add more back later.
- modified some start points
- camps november and sierra are still not capture points but contain stashes of old t-34 tanks, ammo caches and civilian transport choppers. you will find these very useful when playing with low start funds/supply. getting to one and building defenses around it is a good idea in this case as it also gives you proximity to ridgeline overlooking main valley. t-34 can be rearmed at town centers.
all parameters, etc have not been modded from baseline. Just easier to keep up that way!
As always, thanks to Benny for an awesome mission and Old Bear for a great warfare friendly map.

Needed addons :
[ADO] Sbrodj (v 1.5)

  Polish Loading Screens by Topas Addon release
Topas has released a Polish Loading Screens pack on our Forums.

Just a small modification I made being bored while sick last week.
This will allow you to replace the default USMC loading screen that came with A2 with custom made collages featuring the Polish Army
[replacement method described in the included readme file].
Included are four versions to choose from, as presented ... ;
Have fun!
If there shall be any demand for similar loading themes featuring other armies of the world; please post your wishes and if time allows I will make similar packs for other nations.

  Loose Ends SP mission by Zipper5 updated Mission release

Zipper5 has released an updated v1.021 version of his SP Loose Ends mission on the BI Forums.

Shortly after the end of the USMC operation in Chernarus, Akula Lopotev revamped the lackluster ChDKZ forces with the
help of their Russian friends. They were given new, modern equipment and exceptional training. Lopotev renamed the ChDKZ
to the Chernarussian Red Army, and designated it the official military forces of Chernarus. There was only one thing left for
Lopotev to do, and that was to eliminate the competition. NAPA only have one stronghold left - the town of Zelenogorsk.
And you, are going to lead the operation to clear it.

Features:

* The official demo for Rellikki's CRA troops addon
* Fully working intro and outro
* Overview and Briefing
* Included gear selection
* High Command, First Aid, Surrendering and Ambient Animals modules

Full Loose Ends Changelog from our SP Missions section.

  MaskMaper2 released Editing
Soul_Assassin has informed us about the release of MaskMaper2, a powerful tool for map makers on the BI Forums. MaskMaper2 is the tool from a joint job by Rocket and Soul_Assassin

From Rocket's initial post on the BI Forums :

Imported Vegetation
- I took vegetation data in Globe Mapper, exported as a BMP, imported into the BMP to Text program. This gave me a vegetation mask. I then wrote a VBA macro in Excel to read through the file, and randomly place a number of objects based on the brightness of the mask. This macro then exports a list of items to a text file. Then import the text file into Visitor and the objects are all placed!
- I have just tested this process out, and it works.

Just to reitterate, I've now made a way that you can import hundreds of thousands if vegetation items within minutes All you do is paint a mask of the area that you want to deploy vegetation, go through some (reasonably complex) export steps, and they're in visitor. No mucking around individually placing them.

From Soul_Assassin's last MaskMaper2 release post on the BI Forums:

Features:
- no need to convert to text images anymore. Just load in the BMP masks.
- now comes with an intuitive GUI interface. No need to retype everything many times.
- a little better optimized and organized. Now you use terrain size to calculate square sizes so its less error prone.
- preview maps
- estimate number of objects
- option to generate 3 object files at a time using the separate channels.

The tutorial will be updated once i hear from Rocket.
