Comments for ArmA II Steam version available in Europe!

The last game I downloaded via Steam turned out to be an absolute joke (both Steam and the game). I wouldn't recommend getting tangled up with Steam. Just watch, the North American version probably require Steam registration to run! If it does, the Czechs can keep it. I'll pick it up later after someone "fixes" it. Come to think of it, I'd do that if the game tried to install any 3rd party content on my computer.

Just had a look that the play.com Delivery Policy and there is no free delivery to Romania. Quite odd since RO is a EU member for 2 years now. I guess its just too far from the UK.

play.com has free shipment to almost entire europe(and possibly even more). The prices can be in pound or in euro.

@Finarvas
I thought it was avious that I don't leave in the UK...As far as I know I would have seen the price in pounds not euros. Could someone confirm what I've asked in my previous comment.

SE7EN: Play.com (UK) has it for less than Steam and with free shipping for UK customers...

Unfortunately I can't import stuff from other countryes since the shipment will cost at least as much as the game so I'm stuck with either STEAM or the stores in my country, and the stores get the games sometimes months after their release and generaly have higher prices then STEAM because of shipment and VAT.

Also is there anyone who bought the game from STEAM and can confirm that there are no issues if you make a Mod Folder and add -mod=@ModFolder to the ARMA2 shortcut. Just something I want to check before I buy the game.

SE7EN, the prices in GB compared to other european countries are - thanks to the strong euro - pretty much of a joke, but nobody is stopping you from importing stuff from GB.

I've done so recently and it saved me - even with included taxes and delivery price - alot of money.

"modeling real world ballistics & round deflection, materials penetration" if only that would be true....
EDIT: Anyway I'll probably buy it in the next few days. Just one question, why is it on Amazon or some other sites just 20-24 pounds but on steam is 48 euros? Its a bit unfair for some of us...
