| Description : |
What does this addon offer? A modified (dry) version of the ArmA-Demo-Island Saralite, a lot of changed ground and vegetation textures, object replacements, object changes and some removings in order to improve performance compared to Sahrani or Saralite Island.
As a bonus it can be used in 3 different ways (depending of the individual convenience of the user)
# animated weed 'squeezing machine' included (ArmA default) (use the MAP_SSara.pbo only) (allways required !)
# fixed weed without the 'squeezing machine' (use the MAP_SSara.pbo and the MAP_SSaraNoWeedAnim.pbo) (can be found in the 'Bonus PBOs' folder)
# no weeds are shown, only small rocks (use the MAP_SSara.pbo and the MAP_SSaraNoWeeds.pbo) (can be found in the 'Bonus PBOs' folder)
If you put all PBO's in the same folder you get the least common denominator that is the no weeds version. (If you as a mission designer want to reglement it you might want to use the the configFile command.)
It is highly recommended (and the only way supported !) to use the MAP_SSara PBO's it in a mod-folder (eg. @islands - of cause with a folder in it named Addons), if you need more information about Modfolder, have a look here at the BIKI : Modfolder
Mission designers uses the Bonus PBOs should change manually in the mission.sqm the island addon entrys ('MAP_SSaraNWM' & 'MAP_SSaraNW') allways to 'MAP_SSara' to get full compatiblity to all versions of 'MAP_SSara', that's the price to gain this flexibility !
All work (excepting the things based of the work by BIS) is 100% done by myself, feel free to check it, it's no matter to imply me anything else !
Finally let me say : have fun with that island and feel free to modify it but then don't forget to give me some credits.
