Well, its nice to see people have the same thoughts I do about ArmA 2. At least I know i'm not alone. I really agree with a lot of you. And many other people are really questioning BIS's ability to deliver on what they say.

And Reasonable so. Consider that there are really very minor differences between ArmA and OFP from and end user gameplay experience and there is almost 10 years between their release dates. And what about the dredded "Action Menu". Come on BI.. i'd like to see more interactive, quick select menus like you see in Gears of War or something.

On a lot of those videos of ArmA 2, I saw AI behavior that I think more closely resembles ArmA and not what BIS is saying. (like AI walking down street centers and not sidewalks, which suggests limited path-finding ability for AI)

BUT.. I will still buy the game. I'm a "lifer" OFP and ArmA lover. Its still the best game for a military "simulation" without playing $50,000.

When will Bohemia realise that the aspect that made Operation Flashpoint so unique and special, was that you were a smal cog, in a giant war machine. The spec ops missions of OpFlash got boring, the large scale infantry missions were the ones that people liked.

I also Agree with the more promises comment. The game could be rather promising if they do implement all of these promises, particularly the MicroAI/No longer navigating in metres.

This game has potential, but in my opinion Bohemia seem to be staring it blank in the face without paying it the due care and attention.

Good luck BIS, this game wont sell. (but I still love you!)

I hate to be the one to have to say this but there is nothing really new there, just more promises. Those screenshots could just have easily been taken in ArmA1 using retextured Marines from the 1.14 patch and the weapon models are still the same and you can clearly see that BIS still doesn't know how to change a weapon holding animation so that the hands do not clip through the weapon.
