SJB proudly presents v1.00 of the SAS Addon for ArmA2. The pack now also contains SBS and SFSG units.
The SJB SAS Pack v1.0 contains Special Air Service (SAS) operators in both Patrol Kit and Assault Kit with the requisite camouflages for use in both temperate woodland and arid region environments. The pack now also includes Special Boat Service (SBS) units in generic civilian clothing, as well as Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) units in Multicam.
These units are high fidelity representations of modern SAS operators circa 2006-present, using equipment sourced from photographs and information proprietary to the SJB mod team. Currently the units are equipped with BIS weaponry. Later versions of the pack will make use of the upcoming SJB Weapons Packs which will include weapons such as the L119A1 (Diemaco SFW) intended for use with the SJB SAS Pack.
The equipment worn by each of these units is not only intended to give the user a high quality representation of UKSF operators in game, but the mod team has also taken into account that the units should be applicable to all types of missions associated with Armed Assault 2.
These units are not what one would call stereotypical SAS, but the mod team wishes to assure you that the units are an accurate representative of modern operators to the best of their knowledge.
The units feature a few custom touches (unique editor icons, command-bar icons, custom night-vision and pistol proxies etc).
The addon also includes two custom ammo crates (EMPTY > AMMO > Ammo and Weapons Stash Woodland/Desert). These should come in handy for creating LUPs etc.

Ardvarkdb informed us that he released his MGS4 PMC units for Arma 2.
I've released my new MGS4 PMC units for Arma 2 on the BI Forums.
Cheers, Ardvarkdb
Contains units based on the Praying Mantis PMC group from Metal Gear Solid 4. More of a re-imagining than a straight port, these units are much closer to the source material. Units range from no gear to full gear and use Robert Hammer's excellent custom weapons (required!).
Arremba_san_zorzo from the Pedagne Mod released several work in progress screenshots of converting their Mod from ArmA into ArmA 2. Tons of screenshots on the BI Forums
Hi,
Here some pictures of PedagneMOD work. The screen-pictures are captured from Arma 2 setted at low resolution level - this is what allow the actual pc. Over some screen-photo by Eschi captured in Arma 1. The soldiers and vehicles, that you can see are the upgrade of the soldiers maded for Arma 1.
This because the work is directed to make a release where the models are good for both Arma, and two specific config files are adapted to the specific version of ARMA. My thought goes to the many guys that can't buy a new computer-machine that supported Arma 2, exspecially with this crisis... Many bugs (must part in vehicles, than in soldiers) still must be eliminate, but some guys joined to the PedagneMOD work, to help me to reach as soon as possible the final release.
[ASA]Oden has released his Oden Warfare Pack on the BI Forums.
Hi again. With patch 1.05 I had to make a total remake of Oden Warfare and this time I ended up with a complete pack. Those of you not heard of Oden Warfare before it's just an edit of Bohemias Superpowers.
Oden Warfare Pack consists of 4 sets of 5 missions allowing you to play Warfare on 5 different maps.
Sets: * Cold Warfare - US Marines versus Russian 3rd Army * Civil Warfare - CDF versus Chedakis * Dragon Bear Warfare - Chinese PLA vs Russian 3rd Army (needs @OHPLA) * Oden Warfare - Swedish Army vs Russian 3rd Army (needs @Oden 1.7)
Edit 11:30 : 28th december 2009 Update 1.05b - random campguards no longer possible to generate AA group. Edit 23:20 : 28th december 2009 Update 1.05c - ded.server issue fixed.
I have been working on what units i can vaguely squeeze out of the stock BI models when I hit upon an idea of making some Danes. Here are the results.
This is just a simple reskin of the stock BI USMC characters. As per usual all my textures are based on real life photographic evidence and I do the best I can to recreate that in a purely texture format. The varieties it comes in are...Temperate, Mixed, Desert:
Addtional Credits: Thanks especially to the SWM Swiss Armory Mod Team for letting me use their MG51.
Fer has informed us about the release of F2 v2-2-2. Requires ArmA2 version 1.04 or better; F2A2 requires ACE2. F2 is the successor to the popular BAS f mission development framework for ArmA (discussed in this BI Forums thread). The new framework contains many of the features you know from BAS f, updated to work with ArmA 2, plus some new components which take advantage of the new game's special features.
